  • Location: Remote – Montana or Arizona

    Job Description & Responsibilities:  AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting using company-provided databases and templates to produce products such as, but not limited to:

    • Topographic surveys, including from on-the-ground and aerial data collection, plus QA/QC of aerial surveys, and conversion of aerial surveys into company standard format.

    • ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys

    • Boundary calculations

    • Subdivision plats and similar products

    • Easement exhibits and similar products

    • Preparation of staking data for construction layout, including DTMs, feature lines, alignments, and base maps.

    • Using company procedures, QA/QC as-staked construction field data.

    Requirements:

    • Flexibility, high attention to detail, self-motivation, and aggressive pursuit of production, efficiency, and new knowledge.

    • A thorough understanding of land survey principles (boundaries, easements, rights, etc.) and standard practices.

    • Proficiency in AutoCAD C3D, including layer and Xref management, feature lines, DTMS, alignments, COGO points, parcel objects, and automated topographic survey drafting.

    • General understanding of civil construction and how to read and interpret designs, engineering plans, and AutoCAD products from multiple sources.

    • General understanding of geographic coordinate systems and their use in Civil 3D.

    • Ability to create points, export surfaces and alignments.

    • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, in English.

    • Eligible to work in the United States. 

    Preferred:

    • Experience processing photogrammetry and LiDAR data, and creating deliverables from aerial surveys. 

    If the candidate wished to perform occasional land survey field work, opportunities may be available for a candidate in or around Lake Havasu, Kingman, or Prescott Arizona, Western North Dakota, or the greater Billings-Bozeman, Montana region. If candidate would rather work in an office environment, they would be welcome to use the Lake Havasu City office.

    Compensation: $35 - $42/hr depending on experience and
    Paid Time Off, Disability Insurance, Health Insurance with premium paid 75% by the company, 401(k) with employer match are available.
